I spent a long weekend in Savannah, Georgia with my family. It was my first time in the city that well deserves all the compliments I previously heard. It is absolutely worth a visit with its charming squares and riverside.
After way too many biscuits, I decided to check the SCAD Museum. Why? At the time, there the exhibition of Kehinde Wiley at the Brooklyn Museum and reading his biography I saw that he had exhibited there in 2011.
I was happily surprised. The museum is an absolute jewel. Its modern architecture is in complete harmony with the rest of the town and its list of supporters has nothing to envy to New York institutions.
I particularly enjoyed discovering the work of Nari Ward, an artist represented by Lehman Maupin and day dreamed in front of the Oscar de la Renta dresses.
Back in New York, I went to the Lycée Francais de New York Gala that was honoring the street artist JR and I happily took part into one of his project!
