A table wherever you need it…

In 2013, I worked on a project with the very talented, award-winning architects of VW+BS. During one of our conversations, Ian Macready mentioned Vitsoe, a company whose shelving units are in line with their sleek approach to interior design.

Since then, I have been ordering shelves and cabinets seemingly nerver having enough of them. The 606 Universal Shelving System offered by Vitsoe is timeless and one of the very attractive feature: it moves with you when you move! Additions and improvements are easy to make and you can always add a shelf or two.

Vitsœ was the name of the company’s founder, Niels Vitsœ who established it in 1959 to realise the furniture designs of Dieter Rams.

Today, Vitsoe has relaunched the Dieter Rams’s 621 Side Table. And it is exciting news. Designed in 1962, it is one of the pieces of furniture that aimed to elevate plastic, as Rams said, to be “a noble and long-living material.”

The result is a versatile light table that can follow you in accordance with your needs. Simply, two thumbs up!
